Families have always been the soul of Fieracavalli and its most enthusiastic audience in the constant search for memorable emotions and precious moments to share. It is precisely to promote the key role of families within the scope of the event that Fieracavalli - on its 120th anniversary - has decided to dedicate workshops and activities to families which are experiencing difficult times. Be it a separation or estrangement, the "Radici e Ali" project - dedicated to grandparents and grandchildren from 0 to 11 years of age - was founded to strengthen bond between generations and seeks to build a relationship of mutual trust.
The second meeting was held just a few days ago during which a team of experts in psychopedagogy and family mediators of the Associazione Colle per la Famiglia - supported by the Green Jackets Lessini Mountains Group - explained the main notions about horses to grandparents and grandchildren: from anatomy to grooming to the eagerly-awaited "saddle christening". Another demonstration of the therapeutic powers of horses - once again confirming their role as the perfect ally in overcoming difficulties and breaking down mistrust by creating a climate of sharing, dialogue and empathy.
The third and final meeting of the project is scheduled on Saturday 15 September in order to arrive at Fieracavalli with deep roots and broad wings to fly high.
