Four athletes, one team. And not just any old team: the team comprising Davide Venanzoni, Eleonora Gorrupi, Andrea Bassani and Giulio Tronca is the first Paradriving team in Italy. On the closing day today - Sunday 29 October - the drivers bearing the Italian flag were rewarded in Hall 10 for their activities throughout 2017. An important year that marked a major milestone in the history of teams with disabled drivers: the team took part, for the first time in Italy, in the specific "paradrivers" category of the Combined Regions Cup (dressage plus Coni contest) held in Sommacampagna (Verona).
This discipline recognised and regulated by FISE is not only considered as a full-scale sport but also plays a role in therapy and rehabilitation, especially in the development of the upper motor system. Fieracavalli is once again the setting for a unique event that rewards sporting skill at the same time as demonstrating the benefits of horse therapy.
