Fieracavalli 2019

The show Jumping World Cup at Fieracavalli until 2022

Agreement with FEI-International Equestrian Federation renewed for three years

The agreement between Veronafiere and FEI-International Equestrian Federation has been renewed: the only Italian leg of the Longines FEI Jumping World CupTM will be staged at Fieracavalli once again for the next three editions.

The prestigious Show Jumping World Cup circuit made its debut in 2001 within the scope of Fieracavalli and is now confirmed through to 2022. The decision by the FEI thereby further strengthens Verona's central role on the international equestrian sports scene. This concept was also emphasised during the meeting held at Veronafiere of the 11 organising countries in the FEI Western Europe League, following the record figures posted for the 121st Fieracavalli with 168,000 visitors from more than 60 countries. The candidacy of Verona to host the FEI World Equestrian Games™ jointly with Rome in 2022 was also announced. "Sport has been in Fieracavalli's DNA ever since the first edition," said Giovanni Mantovani, CEO of Veronafiere, "and we have continued to invest in this direction, both in terms of infrastructure solutions to ensure better accommodation for competing horses and riders, as well as enthusiasts, not to mention close attention to animal welfare and the safety of athletes. This in turn embraces the awareness that the sporting soul associated with horses is a fundamental aspect driving the development of the entire equestrian sector.”

Following victory this year by British show jumper Scott Brash riding Hello M'lady for the fourth leg of the Longines FEI Jumping World CupTM, the appointment in Italy sees the top show jumping champions return to Fieracavalli 5-8 November 2020. This is a special date since Jumping Verona - the sporting branch of the trade fair hosting the World Cup - celebrates its 20th anniversary.
