Fieracavalli 2019 welcomes a new area dedicated to the world of horse racing within the scope of the main show. An exclusive stage for horses that wrote the history of Italian horse racing and sector professionals who take Italian excellence in Trotting and Racing around the world.
An impressive and intense programme of events specifically for horse racing that opens on Thursday 8 November at 15.30 (Forum Meeting Rome - Palaexpo at Veronafiere) with the Round Table titled “Responsible betting as a driving force for horse racing: communicating the values and potential of a still under-expressed system in the best possible way”. An important occasion for comparisons and debate focusing on design aspects for more modern, functional and developed horse racing. The programme proceeds, in Hall 8, with the Italian Horse Racing 2019 Gala Dinner honouring Zacon Gio (grandson of Varenne), the new champion after winning the New York International Trot.
Friday 8 at 09.00 sees the start of sessions for the International Horse Racing Forum in the Salieri Meeting Room, VeronaFiere Congress Centre. “The worldwide equestrian value chain compared: Synergies for tackling the future”. This forum will involve national and international players in the sector discussing three macro-topics: A vision of the future of horseracing; Ethical and Sporting Values; Case Histories/Territorial Marketing. The Forum will be followed by "Developing the Road Map - Signing International Observatory of the Memorandum of Understanding", an agreement setting up an International Horse Racing Observatory based in Verona. The book by Riccardo Balzarotti titled "Alessandro Bettoni Cazzago" will be presented at 17:00. A book-biography of the life of Savoy Regiment Commander, Alessandro Bettoni Cazzago, a gentleman who led the Charge of Isbuscensky on the eastern front during World War II, an international and Olympic rider but, above all, a great man of horses.
Saturday 9 sees an appointment with the Final Furlong Award Prize Giving - the Italian Horse Racing Oscars in the MIPAAFT Area of Hall 3, where the finest horses of 2019 will be celebrated following online votes by the public at large and then by a jury of journalists and experts.
Sunday 10 will close with two important appointments. At 11.00, the presentation of the Charter of Horse Rights combining ethical, social, sporting and cultural aspects in a mission expressly created to enhance awareness of the fundamental need to respect horses in every moment of their lives; at 11.30, the Charter of Rights in the Final Furlong Forum Area, on the ground floor of Palaexpo, where the memorandum of understanding between Italian Horse Racing Entrepreneurs, FISE and Credito Sportivo will take place to share the ethical guidelines of the relationship people and horses.
