The Longines Versilia Horse Show sees Fieracavalli launch a series of events – that will wind through Sicily and Tuscany – as presentations of the 2025 horse show and promotion for the entire equestrian sector by turning the spotlights on the time immemorial relationship that bonds people, horses and local areas.
Verona, 13 May 2025. Fieracavalli on Tour – a series of events leading up to the 127th edition of the most important event on the international equestrian scene – was inaugurated at the Longines Versilia Horse Show, the sporting event presented by Giorgio Armani staged at the Bussoladomani Park in Camaiore 8-12 May.
Here, Fieracavalli – as official partner of the competition – met stakeholders and professionals to set off on its journey through Italy to present the innovations that enthusiasts and the merely curious will be able to discover in Verona 6-9 November. “Attending the debut of this prestigious competition helps strengthen a shared path. Horses are protagonists that bring together many different worlds: not only sport but also tourism, culture and the economy. Fieracavalli has always sought to create a system embracing all the driving forces in the equestrian sector. This is why it is important for us to team up with initiatives of this calibre,” said Federico Bricolo, President of Veronafiere, during the inauguration of the competition together with Veronafiere’s B2C area manager, Armando DiRuzza, and the Fieracavalli’s artistic director, Maurizio Croceri.
From the Longines FEI Show Jumping World CupTM – the only Italian stage of this event – to new international competitions welcoming the finest Arabian, Spanish and American horses under the spotlights, Fieracavalli this year aims to give considerable space, in terms of the quality of the offering and exhibition relevance, to its long-standing pillars: in addition to show jumping, the programme will focus on the American world and the ancient culture associated with Arabian horses.
The Arabian Horse show hall will host the Emirates Arabian Horse Global Cup Final and the Al Shiraa Futurity Championship for the first time, alongside two other world-class events such as the B International Show ECAHO and the International Straight Egyptian Event. The Western & Outdoor Show, on the other hand, will stage not only the final selection of the Italian Youth team – with a view to taking part in the USA AQHA YOUTH WORLD CUP 2026 – but also the very special attendance by Pat Parelli, the horse whisperer who returns to Verona 15 years after his last visit. A unique opportunity to watch exclusive demonstrations of the Parelli Natural Horsemanship programme conducted in person by the founder. The programme is completed by numerous projects focusing on social inclusion, joined by more than 200 events including performances and entertainment for the whole family.
The event in Lido di Camaiore is only the first stage in a journey taking Fieracavalli all over Italy. The aim is to turn the spotlights on the equestrian sector to highlight - once again – the role of horses as a natural ambassador of local areas and their traditions.
The next appointment for your diary is 6-9 June with the Mediterranean Horse Fair at Ambelia. In this unique setting, Fieracavalli will organise breed showcases and exhibitions celebrating native Sicilian breeds, thereby enhancing the event with its expertise, including specific IAA training meetings, a broad range of sporting competitions and an Equestrian Theatre Gala involving more than 50 horses and 80 artists.
Moreover, 13-15 June will see the Verona Show travel to Arezzo to animate the Arezzo Equestrian Center with a series of FITETREC-ANTE branded competitions including the European Western Gymkhana Championships. Major new items include the debut of HBM Horse, Bicycle & Motorcycle: the initiative – created in collaboration with Donne in Sella – allows female cyclists and motorcyclists to “change saddles” and experience, for the first time, the thrill and adrenaline of horse-riding.
