The 127th edition of Fieracavalli kicks off tomorrow

The opening ceremony is scheduled for 11:00 a.m., in the outdoor area in front of Pavilion 1, with the Italian national anthem performed by the State Police's horse fanfare and the deployment of the 4th Carabinieri Regiment on horseback.

Everything is ready at Veronafiere for the 127th edition of Fieracavalli, the international event that will transform Verona into the world capital of equestrianism from November 6 to 9. Four days dedicated to sports, breeding, business, entertainment and social awareness, with 2,200 horses of 60 breeds, 700 exhibiting companies from 25 countries, 35 breeding associations and over 200 events on the calendar.

The opening day, Thursday, November 6, at 9:30 a.m., in front of Pavilion 2, in the UNOM-Mascalcia Area, will host the press conference on “Arts and Crafts – Horse Future Hub,” the new project by Veronafiere in collaboration with Orienta Verona dedicated to educational and professional orientation that debuts this year at Fieracavalli. The initiative, which involves more than 200 high school students from Verona and the province, aims to introduce young people to the trades and professions of the equestrian world, through two thematic paths at the fair. Speakers include Barbara Ferro, CEO of Veronafiere, Elisa La Paglia, Councilor for Educational and School Policies of the Municipality of Verona, and Laura Parenti, coordinator of the Orienta Verona Network.

At 10 am, Francesco Lollobrigida, Minister of Agriculture, Food Sovereignty and Forestry, inaugurates Pavilion 2 of the MASAF. The new space, dedicated to the Italian horse industry, celebrates the return of horse racing to Fieracavalli and hosts a 200-meter track for galloping demonstrations, breeding trials, equestrian shows, and meetings dedicated to the enhancement of the sector.

The ribbon-cutting ceremony will be attended by: Lorenzo Fontana, President of the Chamber of Deputies, Matteo Salvini, Vice President of the Council, Francesco Lollobrigida, Minister of Agriculture, Food Sovereignty and Forestry, Luca Zaia, President of the Veneto Region, Damiano Tommasi, Mayor of Verona, Flavio Massimo Pasini, President of the Province of Verona, Federico Bricolo, President of Veronafiere, Marco Di Paola, President of FISE, Matteo Zoppas, President of ITA-Italian Trade Agency, and Giulia Martinengo Marquet, first graduate of the Air Force and Italian show jumping champion.

Also present at the inauguration were the Undersecretaries of State Patrizio Giacomo La Pietra, Claudio Barbaro and Gianmarco Mazzi, Julianne Cowley, Ambassador of Australia, Abdulla Ali Ateeq Obaid Alsubousi, Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates, Monsignor Domenico Pompili, Bishop of Verona, Michol Del Signore, Amazon of the Italian Army, Barbara Ferro, CEO of Veronafiere and Adolfo Rebughini, General Manager of Veronafiere.

Following this, at 12 noon, the institutional delegation will visit Pavilion 4 for the inauguration of the Veneto Region area, at Stand D2.

At 12:30 p.m., in Hall 2 of the MASAF, the official celebration of the Centenary of the Murgese Horse will take place.

At 1:30 p.m., we return to the Veneto Region (Hall 4, Stand D2) for the meeting “Verona Host Venue: waiting for the Milan Cortina 2026 Winter Olympic and Paralympic Games”.

At 2:30 p.m., in the Salieri room of the Palaexpo, the conference “Equestrian tourism: enterprise, territory, society” is scheduled, with speeches by Ettore Prandini, president of Coldiretti association, and Marco Di Paola, president of the FISE.

At 4:00 p.m., in Hall 7, in the Fieracavalli LAB area, there is the presentation of Italia Polo Challenge 2026 Fieracavalli, with Federico Bricolo, president of Veronafiere, and Armando Di Ruzza, exhibition manager of the B2C area of Veronafiere.

At 5:00 p.m., in Hall 4, in the Healthcare & Leisure area, the Fieracavalli USA HorseMan Academy will be presented, an international project created with the aim of enhancing and disseminating the human-horse relationship in all its dimensions: scientific, cultural, therapeutic, and experiential.
