Angelo Pasi’s relationship founded on passion began forty years ago after encountering an Arabian horse for the first time – and the breed soon became an integral part of his life.
“Like most children, I was attracted to all animals but horses had something extra that was really special for me: enchanting beauty and extraordinary elegance, combined with strength and a sense of freedom. And it was love at first sight when I first saw an Arabian horse.”
Angelo especially appreciates the elegance of this noble breed, as well as their agility and, above all, reliability: “Arabian horses have a long history of interaction with humans, based on loyalty and a very strong attachment to their owners.”
An elective relationship that Angelo has built over the years, once he decided to convert his passion into a business reality, thereby combining his work with being an Arabian horse breeder: “I really wanted to give my love of these horses a more permanent status. I was no longer satisfied merely with being close to them. I wanted them to be part of my family. This is why I decided to buy some land where I could keep a number of horses and then, over time, there were the first foals were born on my stud farm.”
Angelo’s love and esteem that for horses prompted him to create – together with Alfredo Del Corso of the FEVOSS Foundation – the National Carla Guglielmi Award: “It is a competition which rewards the best research and study degree or doctoral thesis dedicated to horse therapy. I am very proud of this initiative, named after my wife Carla, who passed away prematurely in 2016.”
The award was presented for the first time in 2018 during Fieracavalli, an event with which Angelo has always enjoyed strong links: “Like all enthusiasts of the equestrian world, I have attended this Horse Show for many years, never missing an edition. In the past, I even presented some of my Arabian horses during various breeder exhibitions, such as – for example – the Arabian thoroughbred morphology event where my Jasmine Z won several awards.
You can find out more about all the characteristics of Arabian horses at first hand at Fieracavalli in Verona 9-12 November 2023.
